ACCESS KEYS
FLAME:Media have taken the decision not to implement access keys on our Website. Although they are intended to simplify navigation for people using special devices such as screen readers, in terms of accessibility, we feel that access keys can cause more problems them than they solve for the users that they are intended to help.
Access keys can interfere with access devices and cause accessibility problems as a result. Until there is a universal standard for what link should be activated by which particular access key, FLAME:Media will not use access keys.
NAVIGATION AIDS
For those using screen readers FLAME:Media Website offers the option to skip past the navigation to the main content on each page.
Many links have title attributes to describe them in greater detail.
Internal links open in the same browser window with the exception of any links to PDF and Microsoft Word documents – these open in new windows and are identified by this icon .
External links (links to other Websites) open in new browser windows and are identified by this icon .
